THE TEACHING OF THE WEST TO NORTH – WATER TO AIR
The Sacred Tree and the 12 steps are both a path to deep healing leading to both gratitude and serenity – the journey from Fall (West) to Winter (North), from Thanksgiving to Christmas, is moving from water to air, feeling to thinking, from the bear and owl in the West, to the condor eagle in the North, rising out of the fray of life, which is the second half of life – which is what has meaning in your life, not how much stuff you have in your life- Heading towards the shortest day, the winter solstice.
In this seven week class, we will prepare ourself to begin the journey inward and downward into the teachings of the North direction, the place beyond right and wrong.
A significant gift of the North is the wisdom of the elders.
My last drunken Christmas was in 1975 and I am approaching 51 years alcohol free in January and weave the 12 step teachings into Red Road teachings.
